Rika Sugimoto Dimitrova is a graduate student in Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her research interests include robotics and control, and she is currently studying the dynamics and control of standing balance in humans. Rika received a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Engineering Physics from the University of British Columbia. She loves spending time outdoors, and enjoys rock climbing, jogging, and swimming in lakes and rivers in the summer months.
